Product overview

Unifin Mobile Trade is the UniFin platform mobile application for brokers and banks that need the market in the client phone.

The app brings login, market data, orders, positions and CSD delivery into one place.

Limits and statuses come from the platform: the channel needs no separate back office and no separate risk suite.

CSD delivery is tracked along the lifecycle, and notifications are confirmed server-side.

The solution runs on the UniFin platform rails and is customised to the broker brand by configuration.

What it delivers

What the application delivers

Biometric login

Signing into an app usually needs a password, and clients postpone checking the account. The solution opens the session with biometrics: the keystore key releases a short token. With the solution login frequency grows, and churn falls. In setup the session and device settings are visible, and the security rules come as reference data.

Market data

Quotes usually lag the market and live in third-party apps. The solution runs the watchlist, charts, the order book and the tape from platform streams. With the solution the client stays in the own channel, and data is explained from one source. In setup the streams and the data freshness are visible, and the screen composition comes as reference data.

Orders and risk

Mobile orders are usually checked by a separate process, and risk diverges from the terminal. The solution sends the order through the same pre-trade suite as the terminal. With the solution risk is one across all channels. In setup the coverage, limits and collar are visible for every order, and the limits are set in configuration.

Positions and margin

Positions usually arrive only at day end in a statement. The solution shows positions, margin and account states in one picture in the moment. With the solution the flow of support questions falls. In setup the update sources and the margin per account are visible, and the thresholds are configured per segment.

CSD delivery

Delivery usually gets lost between systems, and the client does not understand where the securities are. The solution tracks the CSD instruction lifecycle: sent, accepted, executed, reconciled. With the solution the process is transparent, with no status calls. In setup both legs of the trade and the reconciliation statuses are visible, and the routes come from the setup.

Notifications

Events usually stay in e-mail that no one reads. The solution delivers pushes about orders, margin and delivery with server-side tracking. With the solution the client stays informed without manual mailings. In setup the delivery history and the channels are visible, and the notification rules are part of the configuration.

Profile and security

Account settings are usually changed through support. The solution holds roles, limits, devices and security parameters in the app. With the solution the load on the operations desk falls. In setup the profile changes and the device journal are visible, and the access rules are set in configuration.

Coverage

What it covers

The app runs on the platform contracts: no separate logic or risk.

Login and biometrics

Biometric unlock, the short token flow and session management.

Market data

Watchlist, charts, order book and tapes over the platform streams.

Orders and risk

Order tickets passing the platform pre-trade suite: coverage, limits, collar, frequency.

Positions and margin

Positions, margin and account states in one picture.

Delivery via CSD

The delivery instruction lifecycle and both legs of the trade with statuses.

Notifications

Push, e-mail and in-app events with delivery tracking.

Profile and security

Roles, limits, devices and the security settings of the account.

Stand

Screens of the solution

Frames are taken from the application engine: the day summary, login, the order ticket and positions.

How it works

From login to delivery in five steps

The client path: the session, the market, the order, the position.

  1. 1

The client logs in with biometrics

The keystore key releases the token flow; the session opens.

  2. 2

The market is in the pocket

Watchlist, charts and the order book stream from the platform.

  3. 3

    The order passes the checks

The ticket goes through the same pre-trade suite as the terminal.

  4. 4

    Positions and margin update

Fills move positions and margin; the app sends the push.

  5. 5

    The delivery is tracked

The CSD instruction runs its lifecycle; both legs stay visible.

Industries

Industries it serves

The application serves brokers and banks who want to give clients the market on the phone, on the venue rails.

Exchange / venue

Trading, supervision, market data and post-trade on one governed core, launched by configuration.

Broker / investment firm

Client access and risk control on the same rails as the venue: terminals, mobile and pre-trade limits.

Bank / payments

Settlement, payments and custody services for the market around the trading core.

Asset manager / fund

Analytics, indices and hedging instruments for portfolio and research teams.

Fintech / data

Data products, AI services and API-first access to build on the platform.

Architecture

Architecture and access

The application comes with its server layer; the platform keeps doing what it already does.

Server layer of the product

Login, screen aggregation, WebSocket events, idempotent commands and notifications: the layer the application talks to.

Integrations

Platform gateway, pre-trade control, the trading core, risk, clearing, Keycloak, CSD, bank, KYC, FCM and APNs.

The same contracts

The application consumes the published platform APIs: what the portals prove in daily use, the app reuses.

Security by design

Keys live in the device keystore, tokens are short-lived, and no secrets stay on the device.

AI layer

The AI layer supports the mobile broker: the assistant answers and explains the portfolio; people approve.

Technology stack

Runtime and backend: Java 21 (LTS), Spring Boot 3.5.16, Spring Cloud 2025.0.3, Gradle, Flyway 10.15.

Data: PostgreSQL 17 per service, Redis 7 with Sentinel, RabbitMQ 3.13 quorum queues, transactional outbox and DLQ replay.

Portals: Next.js 16.3.3, React 19, TypeScript 5; OpenTelemetry 1.31 to Jaeger.

Delivery: Kubernetes and Helm, Vault secrets, Prometheus and Grafana, Docker Compose for pilots.

Visualisation: Apache Superset 4 and ECharts 5 for dashboards and charts, Grafana for operations panels, Mermaid for documentation schemes and the portal diagrams.

Security and access

  • Login through the platform identity service: OIDC with PKCE, refresh with rotation.
  • Second factors: TOTP, push and e-mail codes; step-up for sensitive actions.
  • Order confirmation with dynamic linking: the receipt shows what is being confirmed.
  • Device registry: the client sees and revokes their devices.

Trading in the pocket

  • Watchlists with live quotes and the depth of the order book where the venue allows it.
  • Orders: market, limit and stop with validation before submission and clear rejection reasons.
  • Positions and limits: what the client holds, what is blocked and what is available.
  • Notifications: executions, margin events and corporate actions, all with quiet hours.

Platform integration

  • The app consumes the same platform APIs as web terminals: no separate business logic.
  • White label: logo, colours and store presence are configuration.
  • Offline tolerance: cached portfolio views with timestamps and re-sync on reconnect.
  • Push delivery through the notification service with per-user preferences.

Architecture

  • Built from the platform core: trading-ms, market-data-ms, risk-ms and notification-ms.
  • The suite works through platform contracts: one register of record, no shadow copies of the data.
  • Scaling adds nodes, not rewrites: stateful services grow with Patroni, RabbitMQ and Redis clusters.

Integrations and access

  • OpenAPI for every service: 978 documented endpoints behind 126 gateway routes, plus webhooks and SFTP where partners need files.
  • Single sign-on: Keycloak 26.1, OIDC and JWT, roles, MFA and API keys with quotas.
  • Evidence by default: the audit journal, idempotency keys on writes and a record for every disclosure.
