The key difference

An investor and a company client are different entities

One person can be a broker client, a depository account holder and a shareholder on the register. The portal keeps a single person record and the links to companies; it does not merge legal registries.

Every company keeps its own client registry.
A single person record and the group company links.
Every company runs its own KYC.
One KYC case: the level, the validity and the reuse.
Access is opened by lists and letters.
Access follows the link, the purpose and the consent.
The registrar register lives on its own.
Registries stay with their holders; the portal keeps the link index.
Channels to trading and custody are built anew.
Connectors: REST and events, FIX, ISO 20022.

Product overview

Unifin Investor Portal is the group investor portal of the UniFin platform. It serves companies that run a broker, a depository, a registrar or an asset manager.

The portal keeps the person record and the links to companies: a trading account, a depo account, a register entry. Holder registries stay with their systems, and the portal holds the link index.

KYC runs once. The level, the validity and the reuse follow the policy of the receiving company; new checks start by the rules.

Intra-group access is granted by the link, the processing purpose and the consent of the investor. Every request and grant lands in the access journal.

Trading and custody connect through connectors: REST and events, FIX, ISO 20022 and reconciliations. The solution runs within the UniFin platform.

What it delivers

What the solution delivers

Group entry

A client usually walks through cabinets with different passwords, and support drowns in access questions. The solution connects the subsystems by links and client rights. With the solution the entry is single, and the service map shows the subsystem set. In setup the rights matrix and the subsystem list come as reference data.

Profile and links

An investor is usually created anew in every company, and the links between records get lost. The solution keeps one golden record and the links to the companies of the group. With the solution the investor card is single, and accounts and contracts show by link. In setup the link sources and the roles come as reference data.

Single KYC

The check usually runs in every company separately, and validity dates diverge. The solution keeps one case with the level, the validity and the reuse. With the solution re-verification starts only by company policy. In setup the levels, the terms and the reuse rules are visible, and sanctions and PEP run as monitoring.

Accounts and orders

Balances usually arrive from statements with a delay, and orders are taken by phone. The solution shows cash, blocks and depo accounts and runs orders under role limits. With the solution the numbers match the middle office, and trading runs within the granted rights. In setup the limits, the checks and the reconciliation come as reference data.

Portfolio and reporting

Reports are usually ordered and awaited for days. The solution computes positions, P&L and returns at the latest prices and issues statements in seconds. With the solution every issue keeps a receipt. In setup the forms and the report schedule are visible, and the form sets are set in configuration.

Intra-group access

Proxies usually live on paper, and data flows between companies run without a basis. The solution grants access by link, processing purpose and investor consent. With the solution a revoked consent closes access at once, and a scope extension goes through a second approval. In setup the grants, the consents and the access journal are visible.

Events and voting

Events are usually marked by hand from letters. The solution runs dividends, coupons, meetings and subscriptions with the position on the record date. With the solution client rights for payouts and voting are error-free. In setup the ballots and meeting statuses are visible, and the rulebooks are configured per segment.

How it works

From the sign-in to the report in seven steps

The investor day: the profile, KYC, the summary, orders, access and reports.

  1. 1

The sign-in and the service map

OIDC with MFA; the cabinet connects the subsystems by links.

  2. 2

    The profile and the links

One person record; accounts and contracts show by link.

  3. 3

    Single KYC

The company policy sets the level, the validity and the reuse.

  4. 4

    The summary of the day

The portfolio value, free cash and events in one view.

  5. 5

    Orders under limits

The order passes the limit check; the fill updates balances.

  6. 6

    Intra-group access

Access follows the link, the purpose and the consent.

  7. 7

    Reports with receipts

Statements assemble on the reporting side; every issue keeps a receipt.

Industries

Industries it serves

The portal serves groups with a broker, a depository and a registrar. It also serves private and institutional investors, trusted persons and advisers, and issuers with subscription programmes.

Asset manager / fund

Analytics, indices and hedging instruments for portfolio and research teams.

Architecture

Architecture and access

The architecture rests on the solution services. The cabinet core, the investor registry, the KYC cases, the intra-group access switchboard, reporting and the connectors.

Service suite

The cabinet BFF, the summary, the order adapter, rights accounting, events, reporting and the journal.

Registry and KYC

The investor registry keeps the record and the links; a separate service keeps the KYC cases.

Group access

The switchboard grants access by links and consents and writes the journal.

Subsystems stay subsystems

The trading system, the depository, reporting and payments, the disclosure feed and market data connect as services.

Connectors

REST and events inside the platform; FIX to trading, ISO 20022 to custody.

Extend without touching the core

A new subsystem connects through the base services and the access switchboard: the core stays still.

AI layer

The AI layer explains portfolio moves and drafts report summaries; people confirm every operation.
